This compilation zine is filled with stories revolving around being fat, dealing with fatphobia, loving your body and more. The pieces range from fatness in American culture, fatphobic family members, childhood bullies and inspiring words about body acceptance. It contains fat positive art & there is also a DIY tutorial on how to make positive affirmation cards.
An excerpt from Jennafur, "The focus on weight is one way in which the patriarchy controls us, owns, and divides us. I have had to dig deep to reflect on the realize that as an extremely fat woman that I have more in common with women of smaller weight sizes than I originally thought. When I put the weight factor aside, I realized my struggles and triumphs of being a woman are based on being a woman, not based on my waistline or the numbers on a scale. When women begin choosing their lifestyles and lives based on their personal ideas, feelings, and experiences, they are choosing to live outside of the bounds of a media-fed, patriarchy-fueled existence."

Issue #2 of FAT-TASTIC! includes submissions regarding body image, a thank you letter to Beth Ditto; plus a lengthy interview with yoga instructor, writer & Curvy Yoga founder, Anna Guest-Jelley. Photo submissions: “can you hear my cries”, genders speak out”, and “going underground.”
From the interview, Yoga For Every Body: My mom took me to my first Weight Watchers meeting when I was 11. So for me to be in my body – to just feel good and not self-conscious or self-loathing – well, that was monumental. It was from that moment that I got hooked on yoga.

Fat girls wear thongs and fat, beautiful bodies love the beach, yes! Nicci covers those topics in this issue. My favorite part was definitely Nicci's story about sharing her nude self-portraits in class while in grad school. Self-love played a large part in being able to go through with the presentation and receive the various reactions from her fellow classmates.
my body is my temple. you may worship my curves.

Nicci always creates the most wonderful drawings to go along with the content in her zines. In this issue Nicci raises some questions regarding the 'fat is contagious' theory that has been raised in the media. Nicci also writes her 'big, fat' opinion about diets, her reflection on the weight of some family members, and a submission about a grandma & her liposuction proposal.

I loved working on activity books as a kid so I was pretty excited to see that Krissy had created a body positive activity book. It is packed full of awesomeness and creativity. Inside you'll find a Just Call Me Fat Word Search, Make a Yay Scale, Fat Heroes Crossowrd Puzzle, size activism Unscramble, Make a Love-My-Body List, body love coloring pages & lots more!
Krissy writes, "We are personally told that we are wrong by the media, strangers, family and worst of all - ourselves. For this reason, I tried to focus this issue on self-love and acceptance. That is where it all starts."
