Day 2 – It’s Zine Distro Appreciation Day!
As a distro owner, this day gives me the warm fuzzies because it is always awesome when people recognize the hard work that you put into your distro. It’s truly a labor of love.
It is important for people to support small distros, especially the ones that carry your zine. Orders keep the flow going for distros, allowing us to keep picking up new zines and supporting as many zinesters as we can. Orders keep us running.
I completely understand about money being tight for a lot of people, but there are great ways to support zine distros without spending money.
- send a letter, postcard, or email to distros that carry your zine or that you order from to let the distro owner know why you think their distro is so great. Okay, you might need to buy a stamp for this one.
- Share distro links on Facebook, Twitter, your blog, etc. Help them spread the word.
- Pass out fliers in your area for zine distros.
- Tell your friends about zine distros! Word of mouth is one of the greatest forms of advertisement.
And when you can, place an order or encourage your friends to. Let’s work together!

I am still reading the zine, I Keep Interrupting Myself & plan to finish it up today. I need to work on my daily comic today as well.
