I used to collect PEZ dispensers but I stopped when I turned 20. I have about 200 total and 160 of those are in their original packaging. I stopped because I thought it was a waste of money to be buying them. I could be spending that money on other things that are more useful. Also since I’ve gotten older I hate owning things. I try and keep things I own to a small number. What is your favorite childhood book?
My Mother used to read me ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ by Maurice Sendak all the time. I had posters of it and stuffed characters from the book. I ended up getting a half sleeve tattoo from my favorite page in the book. What are you afraid of?

What is your favorite quote?(i have three)
"we're all fed such false messages about success in life, made to believe it's a point of arrival. so most of us spend our whole lives waiting to arrive. we expect that once we get there, the long story of the life we just lived will be infused with meaning. but while we're waiting our voices dry up. they forget how to ask, they forget how to listen, they forget how to tell." - off the map
"out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls. the most massive characters are seared with scars." - khalil gibran
"you're not alive yesterday. you're not alive tomorrow. you're alive at that moment. if you can grab something for that moment, you have a chance." - johnny x

I do face painting and make balloon animals for a living. What is your favorite quote?
"I'm a storyteller. I'll work to make you believe me. Throw in some real stuff, change a few details, add the certainty of outrage. I know the use of fiction in a world of hard truth. The story of what happened. Or what did not happen but should have --- that story can become a certain drawn shut, a piece of insulation, a disguise, a razor, a tool that changes every time it is used and sometimes becomes something other then we intended. The story becomes the thing needed." -Dorothy AllisonDo you collect anything?
